Any and all excuses to legitimize the continued hate and bigotry on both sides of our crumbling society! Blacks must start at some point to take responsibility for themselves and the circumstances for which they find themselves in! Slavery was a great injustice to be sure but black society is making the youth of their own ppl suffer. Start promoting self reliance, family values and ambition to achieve.. Racism is different from racial prejudice, hatred, or discrimination. Racism involves one group having the power to carry out systematic discrimination through the major institutions of society. By this definition, only White people can be racist, because in America only White people as a group have that power.

Blacks have paid and continue to pay for the sins of Whites as a group since the first slave was sold in Virginia, then freed and were subjected to arbitrary lynchings for the next 60 years, only to endure Jim Crow for another 100 years. It wasn’t until 1965 when Blacks had to have their Civil Rights legislated and the primary beneficiaries were White females.

The racist, sexist fires were fueled by the previous 43 White male presidents because most of them did little or nothing for people of color or women. Yes, 43 White men who were sought out, supported and elected by mostly White people, and some would not had been elected if it weren't for the Black vote. Yet, some Whites have a nerve to be bent out of shape because Obama got 95% of the Black vote. Get over it!

Why is it deemed racist to ask for people Like it or not, white people do need to do what's right. As do all of God's children. None of us are perfect, and instead of being upset about someone calling you to a higher standard, embrace the challenge! We all should strive to embrace what is right. And maybe, that's the central message he was saying. Not singling out groups, but calling us all to be better than we are. And I, Dr. Lowery embrace the call and challenge!
