  • My dad had bought a "heng long" 'Tracer' rc heli', and that was awesome. So then he got us one of these wowee bladestar's.

I have to say, the bladestar is a peice of &^£*! you directed it left, so it goes left ...and then swings back to where it was, so you say go forward ...after three feet it gives up and hovers, all it can do is "up, down" and "in your face". (since directions are relative to the controller)

    RUBBISH.

also the sensors for the controller are crap, it barely ever recognises

  • i got mine for $13 at wal-mart and hate the thing. the damn thing won't work.

  • I'm shocked to learn this is $50 bucks! I assumed it'd be about $20. It looks pretty cruddy in it's movements ...

  • i know they suck i got one for my bday and it could only go up and down and the auto pilot is a lie i treid it and it just kept crashing

  • Actually, a Flytech Dragonfly is the best R/C flying bot I've even flown. It is easy to navigate, and it has two modes; beginner and expert. And, if you ever have any navigational troubles, there is an added tail ribbon for extra stabilization. The only downside of the dragonfly is that it only lasts for 5 mins on a 20 min charge, and the remote uses 6 AA batteries. With each load of 6AA batteries you can only get 6 charges that are at maximum power. Otherwise, everything else is very enjoyable.

  • Thanks. I actually found a DragonFly for 20$ so I grabbed it. I'll take a look at some Blade CX2 Vids and Reviews. Thanks very much. ^_^

  • It is not worth $40, you'll be disappointed and bored to tears and will regret having spent the money. This thing is maybe worth $10 to $15 relative to the experience of flying it.

  • I assume you're talking about the Wowwee flytech DragonFly, I don't have any experience with that but I have never heard anyone describe it as "boring to fly". From what I have seen it flies fairly well and appears to be quite entertaining. If you have a little bit more money and you'd like to learn how to fly an RC helicopter I would recommend the Blade CX2. As far as RC helis go that one if fairly straight forward to learn and fun!

    Cheers,

    -Scott

  • I read some Reviews that hyped this up a lot... I wanted one so bad, but watching videos of it... It looks like it just Hovers... So I decided I want a DragonFly instead. I hate to assume, but if you've had one of those as well. Any advice on it? Also Thanks for the heads up in your comments above. These things look good to a lot of people, but from what I read... They don't deliver back for the Cash. Lol. ^_^

  • Where is the fun if you can't pickt things up and fly them from a to b?
