I never had! It belonged to the store holding the contest. I played someone else's another time, and they seem to be very solid amps for the price.

Dude..Very Nice TOne...
BTW, I've seen the video of the first place and I thought you were much more creative! YOu harmonized guitars on the back track, gave a diferent approach....I LOVE THE BLUES, but I miss more daring guitarists like yourself. I mean, I've seen some daring blues guitarist whicj have played MELODIC MINOR, HARMONIC MINOR (i.e. Mark Knopler) and even diminished scales in a very creative way...I think you were one of them..CONGRATS...

Wow. . . thank you so much. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with something that really grooved with the backing track and wasn't just blowing on a pentatonic minor for 4 minutes (AKA. . . what everyone else was doing). So thanks for "getting" what I was trying to do :). I find it amazing that you've actually seen the first place winner's video. Can I ask where or how?

Man, it's been a while, so I don't remember that much, but I do remember rolling off the high end a good bit. The other EQ seemed pretty balanced, I think. I dialed up just enough drive to sustain but not be overwhelming, probably about 3 or 4, maybe. That's about all I can remember. Personally, I thought the thing sounded a little too boxy :O So to each his own, and I recommend trying it out if you're looking at one.

Never thought a Tele could do blues?!? Seriously??? Muddy freakin' Waters, man:D And many others too, but anyway, pretty good job, Austin. Your lead work is pretty good, and your rhythm is well-timed, but just remember to cram as much feeling as humanly possibly into every single note. I know it sounds kinda' esoteric, but it's just not blues any other way. Peace.

heh, thank you kindly. I've been joking that next time I'll wear some giant ray-bans and get on the floor, contorting my face. . .now THAT'S blues. . .
