After 1990, the Romanian Police managed to maintain and improve the cooperation with the similar authorities of the other member countries, as well as with Interpol Secretariat General of the International Criminal Police Organization.
NCB Bucharest performs its activity within the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC), which had been set up in 2005, representing a police structure subordinated to the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.
Besides NCB, the IPCC includes also other police units, such as: the National Unity Europol, SIReNE Bureau and National Focal Point. From the 140 specialists of the Center, 34 of them work to Interpol.
NCB Bucharest is composed of two units: International Search and Extraditions Unit and Research/Identification Unit.
