In this video I give a full in depth tour of a2004 Mazda RX-8 with the 6 speed transmission. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

  • Check engine light is on...yeah...illuminated check engine lights in RX-8s are about as common as any other feature.

  • @AusGuerin I'm getting mine in a few days!

  • the transmission on the 2003-2011 Mazda RX-8

    Transmission

    4-speed automatic

    6-speed automatic

    5-speed manual

    6-speed manual

  • hit speedbump

    apex seals gone

  • i wan wondering why it was $14k and i realized the video was from 2010 thats worth like 10 to 12k tops

  • So basically, if you own a rotary in canada (50% winter, down to -30 celcius occasionally) you are screwed?

  • @Ballinj13 avoid the rx8 like the plague it handles beautifully and it very stylish inside and out comfortable BUT it eats oil and gas performs like a civic si and the reliability is horrendous its also a maintenance whore. i owned one and babied it. warmed it up, revved it bfore shutting off, no short trips, redlining often, checked oil temp pressure, etc... in the end it died anyway flooding problems and i got a cracked seal. i had warranty and they got me a new engine and i traded it in fast.

  • @landraider101 We're not running ALMS here... It's a car to drive on the street, and track one in a while. While the auto may shift quicker, the manual will always be the choice for true car guys who actually want to enjoy the car for what it is.
