  • That's a very hard fish to breed considering u need to breed a molly w swordtail then lyre w swordtail and lastly the two hybrids

  • @GhillieSniper115 Mollies and swordtails can not interbreed. They are from two different genus. Swordtails and platies can interbreed though. As far as the hobby goes I would consider any common tank-strain of swordtail or platy as a hybrid since its unlikely that they are any particular true species. That is unless you are dealing with wild-type fishes. But for the ones you see at petsmart a vast amount of them are hybrids really. Not 50/50 hybrids but 90/10.

  • @Srinivazen1 Its actually a female, the lyertails can be confusing sometimes. She has a long anal fin, but it is still fan shaped like a females should be. Males of this type have a long feathery anal fin.
