Goldeneye 007 - Aztec 00 Agent 3:38 (old Jaws strat)

Some guy on here criticized my 1:55 for using the guards open the glass door trick. He said it's way more difficult to go the long way with killing Jaws (the way Rare intended us to beat the level) and challenged me to do it that way. So...within my first 45 minutes of playing (lol) I completed it 3 times, a 4:05, a 3:46, and a 3:38. Here's the 3:38.

Terribly slow first 2 rooms, 3rd room was good except for the guard getting stuck in the mainframe. Next part was good, except that grenade wasn't thrown perfect so only destroyed the left drone, but the left one is the important one (with this strat anyways). Big room I did really fast, unable to warp the ladder to the exhaust bay computer costing me 4 seconds, was a bit slow killing Jaws, back to the glass door where I had so much health I didn't bother killing the laser guards and somehow didn't take a hit from them either. Back to the big room and done.

Note how much health I have left. 2 hits off total, lol.

I will probably try for a faster time, maybe like 3:15-ish.

@KatzurpOinkers Every pause makes the next pause go faster, so since I'm standing there waiting anyways, I do a bunch of them so that my pauses for the guidance data and launch protocol data later on go very fast and save a few seconds.

@kevoishere1 You can "warp" up ladders by switching weapons. Same concept as warping through half-open doors.

its a trick I used 99% of the time when I used to play it

if you use left/right - C button and walk towards the goal you do go alot faster

notice that hes always running kinda sideways

@dragames Lmfao, you know my best time is 1:55? This is nothing but a demonstration of the old strat…doesn’t even count for anything so there’s no incentive at all to make some fake vid. The run isn’t even that good…nothing unbelievable about it. People have done 30 seconds faster with this same strat. There is nothing careless about the 2nd room, as I knew I could afford to take a hit or two, and it's pretty easy to make it to the bridge without getting hit if you strafe well anyways.

@mustangGT33 this is the best FPS of all times, recently the WII made a goldeneye remake, for me that remake is really good, the sad thing: pierce is not Bond in the game
