Not to dispute the sizes but to coincide the two main parts it looks like the pipe is 1/8" [0.269"i.d.] the shaft would likely be from a 5/16" rod worked down to a compatable fit inside the pipe. just by what it looks like in the video the pipe looks like a 1/8" [0.405" o.d. slightly over 3/8"] whereas a 1/4" is 0.540" o.d.[over 1/2"]. also the 1/4" pipe makes it very difficult to press the piston to get the coals, could you confirm either way?

@LLuE88 Sounds like you might be right. It has been so long I don't remember for sure What sizes they were. If you wanted to make one I would suggest getting the nipple pipe first and then take it with you to the hardware store as you try to size the bolt or rod to fit the piston. That is what I did. The bolt WAS too large in diameter but I just worked it down using sandpaper & files while spinning it in a drill until it was narrow enough to slip in the pipe without hanging up.

@DudeNumberOnePlus This really isn't my idea though just to make things clear. I found it on the internet somewhere else and thought it made good sense. Thanks for watching.
