Trouble is that more 'politically correct' and privacy invading measures the Government are introducing may be deemed nanny state, but some of the better aspects of this mindset (such as welfare support, health, standard of living etc) are being chipped away leaving only the more insane aspects of nannies apron strings strangling you in the cot whilst your being deprived of your milk and basic necessities depending on if you are 'deserving' rich or undeserving poor, or the much squeezed middle!

i dont blame them for this reaction, it is wrong, sure 99 percent of people in prison should be there as they are persistent offenders who are responsible for the vast amount of crime and they are not always looked up..
What else can you do with dangerous child molester, muderers, rapists, armed robbers, drug dealers,and thugs that beat people with baseball bats every saturday night just because they don't like you face.

Unfortunately I think this is a worldwide trend with the "authorities" believing they know the best in all circumstances and then using whatever blunt instrument they have to hand to bludgeon the rest of us into compliance.
