What a load of crap this whole ordeal is. Neither side could agree to terms of a random drug testing procedure so this superfight that would have given all the fans what they want to see is off. Way to go boxing. Way to go Manny Pacquiao. Way to go Floyd Mayweather Jr and Sr. Way to go Golden Boy promotions.

You all phucked up on this one as far as I am concerned.

Mainly my concern now is just what boxing itself turned into in the modern era. It's all about the money and the bureaucrats that have control over the sport.

I cant name any fighters Mike Tyson Dodged but I can name about 5 good fighters in his era he never fought. Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer, Ray Mercer, George Foreman, and Tommy Morrison. Evander Holyfield fought just about all of those guys Tyson never did. Tyson fought a bunch of bums, and when Tyson did fight someone good he lost.

Hold on a second.. Tyson fought ALL THE TOP CONTENDERS pre-jail sentence. Did you ever think that those guys he fought and beat so easily were simply because he was just that good? How many bum fighters will get KO'd in the first round? Some but not the 20+ Tyson did. That's skill

Plus, the guys you mentioned were barely relevant till Tyson got locked up. Hollyfield mostly fought those guys when Tyson was in jail or past his prime and fighting scrubs after the Lennox Lewis bout.

He was still young enough when he got out to have fought Michael Moorer or Ray Mercer he wasnt over the hill yet. George Foreman was relevant befopre Tyson went to jail and he never fought him.

Who actually remembers any of those guys Tyson beat before he went to jail. He beat an old Larry Holmes none of the other are hall of famers.

Tyson's post jail fights are some of the most embarrassing moments in boxing history. They gave him nothing but squash bouts just so he could get back in the title hunt. And once he got to that level he was killed by any of the top contenders or champs. He was well past his prime and out of the game for too long.

Tyson in his prime was arguably the most dominant athlete to step foot into a sport. He beat the best in his field with ease for YEARS. Minus Douglas of course.

Oh and Tyson won the heavyweight title before he was even legal to drink alcohol. Name one other person who dominated their sport with ease regardless of how "easy" or "forgettable" the competition was bye the time they were 20 years old?

And again, was it that the people that Tyson destroyed in under three rounds because they were THAT bad or because Tyson was just that damn good? Plus, who's career could recover after getting destroyed by some 20 year old "kid"?

And whoa... one last thing. Foreman was relevant BEFORE Tyson started boxing and was finishing his run when Tyson was starting his career in fighting. Foreman didn't even lace up the gloves again till after Tyson was on trial for rape. And by the time Tyson was back to challenge a name worthy Heavyweight Foreman had already re-retired.
