If I was a mass murderer I wouldnt want to go on a shooting spree were my victims could shoot back at me Id go to a "gun free zone".

Funny how we always hear about the few hundred firearms used by a wacko or mental patient or illegal alien but never hear about the millions of firearms that are legally and safely used every day. I have more than a dozen in my home that have never harmed a soul except my M1 Garand that probably sent a few Nazis or Japanese to their end. The only person who should fear my guns are those who would look to harm my family or take those guns from me.

Youd have to be suicidal too, and just plain stupid. I can think of many many ways to kill hundreds or thousands of people without using a firearm and with a chance of not getting caught..... poison a town water supply.... etc. I mean seriously all these laws after shooting sprees- how many people in our society are actually homicidal and suicidal? Making laws based on the very few worst elements of society treats us ALL as if we are these elements and we are NOT. Its damn insulting.

These shooting are in GUN FREE ZONES. Law abiding people are not allowed to carry legal guns in these places. Only those that have criminal intent will violate the GUN FREE ZONES. How much more stupid is the news. Or how many times are they going to tell you only part of the truth and not the whole truth. Asked this. was the victims of these shooting armed. Answer, NO!

@Cowbelltheoneandonly True. But that is not going to stop citizens with criminal records from getting them by illegal means whether its stealing them from people who can posess them, bribing military and police personal into supplying them with weapons, or even manufacturing their own (and they can do it, manufacturing a gun is not as hard as you might think).

I am liberal, but I only support gun control laws that are meant for keeping guns in the hands of law abiding citizens, and out of the hands of criminals. Disarming law abiding citizens is not gonna protect them.

When someone basically puts out the idea that it's alright to regulate guns, it encourages more regulation. It starts out reasonable but over time the idea of reasonable changes. That's how I see it.
