The injectr's main function is to "spray" gas onto the piston...right? Then that's what the Bosch Design lll's are doing in an excellent mist form, which makes combustion almost perfect thus less fuel goes unburned. If I take rebel2k4's favorite set, almost sure he must be looking at black smoke at WOT when he's shooting down the street in his Eclipse courtesy of fuel being hosed on the piston in a less efficient form. I have the Design lll's #280-155-710's and they did a hell of a difference.
i think the lucas is a high pressure direct injector, because the spray became more of a mist as he added pressure. and a direct injector fires around 200psi at high idle.
Great video. The middle ones look like some trick flow 120 lb/hr injectors I used to run on my eclipse. They are by far the best injectors I have ever tuned on.
The two on the left look like the stock 19 lb/hr injectors that came out of my 5.0. I went to 30 lb/hr single pintle bosch style and it runs decent, not great.
I will be upgrading to a 36 lb/hr lucas disc type. I have heard the best things about these style and also have great tuning experience with. Thanks for posting!
V informative. I like your non-biased approach to it all, just letting the injectors do what they do and showing it as it happens. Thanks for that. Nice.
Wonder what the duty cycles were at 140 psi!. Lucas is supposed to be good up to 90 percent. Glad to see my Lucas's can hold up.

so the stock corvette enjectors fail to run higher than 60psi,
while the bosh 19lb injectors handled 140+psi and maintained constant flow ?
i think i will stick with bosch...however, the lucas ones look nicer, uncertain what actually atomizes better.
please label the injectors on the bench test if im wrong...
nice vid.
