@ DannyLrides.. actually there is a large population of African Americans here. More than that, there is also a large population of Gullah people here. The Gullah people have not lost touch with their roots, and would never identify each other, or you, as "niggers"... There is not a lot of racism here, and that goes both ways.

My sister lives there She went to college but she is planning on going to grad school now. Now my 2 brothers go there. I love charelston. I'm not a country hick but I am southern! lol.

@alisonmays I don't believe this guy, NeverDupliCated21. Charlestonians or visitors would NEVER do that. Charleston was named the most polite city in the USA for something like 3 straight years or so a while back. I've been there twice, but never sick of going there.
