An experimental documentary film that juxtaposes the sounds and images of war and violence with traditional culture, filmed in a Palestinian village in the West Bank during the Second Intifada. At night, the Israeli military (IDF) takes over with shooting, helicopter fly-by's and bombings. The next day we see the result of the violent night: a bombed house, a girl wounded, a man has lost hope. In between however cultural survival continues: women prepare for a wedding with traditional song, a woman bakes bread in a traditional oven, a goat is slaughtered, a family goes on a walk. Film by Helga Tawil Souri, 2004. For more info see www.helga.com
