Clay Aiken...I stopped watching IDOL after Clay lost to Reuben. Reuben has a great voice but he'll never be a Clay Aiken. He bowls me over to this day. What charisma, what a phenomal talent and there are not enough superlatives about his voice. I have loved him from the first audition. I would love to see a re-match. Clay makes me smile.

With no high points and no low points, and lots of repetition, this song is very hard to sell effectively. Levi Stubbs set the mark at the top to begin with and Clay here very clearly lives up to that standard. In this case, Simon doesn't know what he is talking about.

Simon is ridiculous -- didn't recognize talent standing right in front of him. The Clay/Ruben competition put Idol on the map that year. Clay's voice is still be the best ever, IMO. He is one funny talented man!
