Its worh remembering that Bush sacked the neoconservative warleaders in 2006. Something that never has happened in wartime in America before.

@HerraIce Hmm I assume you are talking about Iran, if I recall correctly, it was under this assumption that the lead planners of the US invasion of Iraq royally fucked themselves in the ass. They premised that war on the assumption that the war would finance itself through Americas uninhibited access to Iraqi oil, which they would then expropriate from the Iraqi people.

I am truly glad that Richard Insaney no longer has direct power in DC; however, he is still trying to inlfuence the foreign policy debate negatively, e.g., keep us fighting in the Middle East and as a consequence keep the gov't restricting Constitutional rights at home. Please go back to the prairie and resume shooting birds and/or friends Big Dick!

Get out of Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran now.

Before any country plans on attacking the US, be aware that we are good and decent. We just have a lot of weak sociopaths elected into office ruining the rest of us.

Which pieces of Hersh's do you refer to? The pieces I familiar with, e.g. Mordachai Vanunu, Abu Ghraib and the cover up of My Lai massacre had a vast body of documentation and are pretty openly spoken about now because of his investigative work. These were all based on hard evidence. As for anonymous sources, these are the bread and butter of journalism; leaks, tips, whistle-blowers, we wouldnt have news without them. So i think your comment really describes itself.

This reporter has a solid and well-earned reputation for making dramatic assertions based on thinly sourced, unverifiable anonymous sources
So the US is sponsoring terrorist attacks inside Iran now. USA=biggest state sponsor of terrorism

In 1969 he exposed the My Lai Massacre and its cover-up during Nam, led the press on mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison, in 2004 alleged that Cheney and Rumsfeld circumvented the normal intelligence analysis function of the CIA in their quest to make the case for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.....is that how you lose credibility in your eyes? Fiction? Is that what FOX tells ya?
Um, I'm a real REPUBLICAN BTW. Not the "new" VERSION. Ya know, the robot type. Ya been Neoconned?
