I red that the Big Northern Hotel is not there, its made up and you can see something like ruins, camin, a roof from wooden sticks - parts of it...What about the Double R caffee - can you see it...I always wanted to go visit, i live in SFO now, so i have to fly to Seattle and then get a car to there, which exaclty city did you visit??? Thanks and also send me a picture of your trip, i love the movie so much

I went there in 1992. The lodge is the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, WA. I also went the Rosalind, WA where they filmed "Northern Exposure".
The diner in the pilot was the Mar T Diner and they recreated the diner as a set for the rest of the filming. I can't post the link here but there is a site called Twin Peaks film sites. Google it. They have the locations there.
