Power Rangers Star Beasts - Fan Opening

For any who don't know, Power Rangers is based of the Japanese series Super Sentai. When the time came for a second season of Might Morphin Power Rangers (Or Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger), they opted to keep the same suits, but change the Zords and Tommy to another series: Gosei Sentai Dairanger.

It seems unusual to me that they'd do this. The Dairanger suits were awesome, and they could have kept the origional cast no problem. It would have been much easier than trying to splice Dairanger footage into Zyuranger. So here's my fan-made season two opening, renamed Power Rangers Star Beasts. It's the best title I could come up with.

Eh, it's sort of a mixture of seasons. The origional core team plus Tommy. It's personal taste, I just like the origionals better.

i created my own fan fic and i called it PR Mythical Thunder, and then for season three i called it PR Ninja Force and i just removed the Blue Ranger (i used different names) just how i did it anyway

Cool video, and honestly this is what should've happened during the power transfer or something. But then what about the kakuranger? No pink and white was a girl so would tommy become ninjor? Season 3 would have been WAY different no matter what they decided to do.

If they had went with Dairanger we'd never have seen the creation of Lord Zedd and that is the most amazing Villain of American history :)

@Mike0908 There was Promo images of the Rangers in the new suits and a new logo in Hollywood media that the fans never really saw. It was all about the writers creating a tied in story line which created the massive PR fanbase. To think that Turbo was almost the death of the show, that's why In Space ended so epicly.

@lykins8 Jason David Frank was going to star in a series called "Cybertron." they filmed a pilot and maybe a few other episodes. But the child fans started "protesting." parents had to write in letters to Saban and Fox saying "My child isn't eating until Tommy is back on Power Rangers." Which worked, the person who was cast to become the White Ranger was moved over to what would become VR troopers and Tommy was back on PR

well they switched from morphin to zeo, zeo to turbo, then turbo to space, without talking to the media on the show. Why woudl it matter if they switched to dai ranger in season 2? I think the suits could have worked, but I guess Saban was trying to save money.

I never was able to get into the basic Dairanger uniforms. I think the only thing that saved Kiba/White Ranger was the secondary vest/armor.

No reason? I can think of an easy reason. Dinozords (including Dragonzord and Titanus) get destroyed, so the new powers (Dairanger suits) and Thunder Zords are created. The Rangers would just reveal to the media that they're the same team, as I'm sure would've happened with Zeo and Turbo in the actual continuity. Anyway, the real reason is that the Zords switched early - Thundermegazord vs Zyu2 monsters. That's Zyuranger monsters made just for MMPR. Saban got the Dai rights earlier than expected

Part of why they might now have use the Dairanger suits would have been change. Imagine that Angel Grove were real, how do you think the people would react to seeing a new team for no reason? Zedd comes down, the MMPR take a backseat to Dairanger... confusing.
