@domenico0001 Hermano aunque le llamen salsa que nunca será un termino musical, le quieran cambiar el nombre a nuestro SON jamas dejará de llamarse SON .un saludo cordial chucho

I just want to state how much there is a love and passion for the discussion of the music we love "LATIN" "CUBAN" and/or "SALSA" Thanks to Arsenio when he started his own group. His roots was from his grandfather from the Congo heritage which is steeped in the Afro-cultures of Matanzas province, he took the worlds of the jazz-band and El Son septet, and added to the septet a second trumpet later he had three, then four trumpets and the piano and introduced the Conga via his brother Kike.

@Esco3481 Thank you, Happy Holidays.. I look at it this way, without Arsenio, Cuni, Scrull, Chapottin, Lili Martinez Etc.... their ancestors, the beautiful Cubanos/Latinos of the world. We may not have had the Afro-Cuban beats (Son Montuno, Guaracha, Rumba and Guaguanco, and what we call today "Salsa". Johnny Pacheco, who brought Salsa to New York said best that "Salsa is and always had been Cuban Music" Y Como dice Monguito El Unico "No le llamen la salsa, a mi Son..." Ha!
