Girl in the Glass City "Out and About" NYE - Old Guy Dancing

The Girl in the Glass City was "Out and About" on NYE 2010 covering 10 parties in 7 hours.

At midnight I was at the Omni Midwest where I spotted Toledo's legendary 'Old Guy Dancing" at the front of the dancefloor.

His name is Al. His life long wife passed away last year and rather than staying home alone and grieving and dying, he goes out to socialize and to keep active.

Any one who has been to the popular bars and nightclubs in town has seen the man known to most of us as "Old Guy Dancing." He is a LEGEND on the dance floor. He pops into people's group photos or more often is invited. He is always dressed in his own unique style. When he gets in the club, he hits the dancefloor and just starts dancing and grooving

He is inspiring to watch and encourages others to have fun and dance. Many people sit on the sidelines of a dance floor (and life) and come up with excuses and reasons not to get out and have fun. He show everyone that all the excuses don't mean a thing and that we should just get out there, cut loose and have a great time. Because that is what he is doing!

He was the bar fly at Bunkers. Guess he's now found a better place to exhibit his awesome moves and pick up other young hot chicks to dance with! Good for him! Old Guy Dancing should have a different name though...something more hip like Groovin Grandpa:)

Fafeanie - Indeed! Or we need to find out what his real name is. Truth is I think he just hops around all night long until he finds a grooving place. I think he still ends up at Bunkers from time to time.

I actually met him at Big Z's and I have to agree with Donger 560. He is very much a creeper and was putting his hands all over various females and one girl was begging me to 'save' her from this creep. lol! Nice guy but weird imo.

To tell y'all the truth, he's a disrespectful creeper. He keeps on bugging me to take pics while I take my friends' pics at Chasers, with girls getting so creeped out with him putting his hands in places I wouldn't put my hand on. He's an old dirty creeper. I know ya don't believe me but I've seen him around for almost 5 years in Toledo and I've been ignoring him since he ain't thankful after I had to tell my friends I gotta take his pic for a sec more than a hundredth time in Toledo.

Al. We have been runnin into him at various places for a few years now he use to go to whiskey ranch all the time.. he is alot of fun.. sometimes would ride his bike to the bar
