  • As an Orthodox myself, I respect this Elder's zeal, but I think we need to stop anathematizing people, making salvific pronouncements on others, and humbly remember that GOD, in His absolute freedom, decides who will be saved and who will not be saved. We humans cannot set limits on His Divine freedom. God's offer of salvation is open to every human being, without any exception whatsoever. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...

"They are anathematized... Ecumenical Councils have decided, because it wasn't done either by you or me. We cannot guarantee their salvation" QED

I would suggest you follow the Church and the Holy Fathers and not your own interpretation. What Church do you belong to? Are you a cradle Orthodox or a convert?

  • What a Wonderful man. I would like to know if books he's written are published in the English language. May God bless him!

  • @thatUkrainianguy

I'm not aware of any, but now that he moved to the Triumphant Church, praying for us, there is hope...

  • Orthodoxy is the One and Only True Faith.

  • Long live the Orthodox Faith, unchanged and unmoving .. forever and ever

return to the true faith... ecumenism is a compromise.. as the Elder says.. even the SMALLEST change (compromise) is a GREAT fall...

  • The Savior never said that if you alter anything slightly it is anathematized. He's right about Ecumenism, but there is no such biblical passage.

  • at least he sounds like a good man.

  • @Capitanul9603 Wrong! Ecumenical Councils are those which the Pope, the Bishop of Rome, is present. It does not have to be accepted by the whole Church. That is a logical fallacy, the Church has never been fully agreeing with each other! The first seven councils were largely used to fight Arianism, which had it's hold on a huge amount of Christians!

  • @assasincomedy

Ecumenical Councils are only Those who were adopted by an Ecumenical Christian Church.

    Filique is WRONG !

P.S. By mt last anding Phrase DEVS VOLT!

I'm proud to be latin and I will always sustain a CORRECT ECUMENISM!

  • @Capitanul9603 That is doctrinal development. The Orthodox refuse to believe any other ecumenical councils, which clarified belief and let better understanding take place.

  • @assasincomedy

We may recognise it if the Roman Pontiff will respect the old law.

I gave you one short and fundamental exemple :

At the Ecumenical Counciles and THE NICEEAN CREED! :

Holy Spirit comes only from Father God and not from God and Jesus Christ! This is only one change by the Catholic Church.

  • @Capitanul9603 Orthodoxy does not recognise the Authority of St. Peter, which is apostolic. The early saints recognised the authority of the Roman Pontiff. He is not simply 'another Bishop'. Read the writings of St. Maximus the Confessor.

  • @assasincomedy I also belive on an Union viat Pope but under the law and tradition of the First Christians... that were on one true and correct Faith!

And that Faith was Ortthodox Christianity.

And Constantinopole is just an ilusion... If you want to talk about Constantinopole we must first have a Crusade, a Crusade of Truth and United Faith!

United under Cross in a Truth Faith and without ignorace on atheisation Sects and Jewish and Muslim Invasion!

    DEUS VOLT!
