Join us as we take a musical journey to the famous Appleby Horse Fair. This video features Dr. Busker, a unique character making his name on the steam rally circuits singing songs and playing his accordion. We invited Dr. Busker to visit Appleby Fair and to bring back some of the musical spirit, that some people remember from years gone by. In this video you will see Dr. Busker at his best. Taken to all the major landmarks at the fair, Dr. Busker sings some fabulous gypsy songs to many of the visitors and gypsies. A truley unique experience for all the family.

Features: The Rocky Road to Dublin, The New Horse Fair at Ballinasloe, Drowsey Maggie, The Black Velvet Band, The Irish Rover, Muirsheen Durkin, The Raggle Taggle Gypsy, Whiskey In The Jar, The Wild Rover, to name just a few.

  • where u get that from hey? my mams roma and we're all very aware of our roots but we have our own culture and ways, just coz we dont walk around like them lot in spain looking all very 'gypsy' dont mean we're not proud of what we are. yeah i am roma and i wear guess jeans and dont live in a trailer like loads of other romanichals, how does that mean we've lost our connection to what we are??? my uncles and aunts and my grandad can speak rumness

  • Even English Gypsies were originally from India.

Its weird how no evidence of this has remainded in the UK with some Gypsies even denying a black connection. where as in Romania Spain and the rest of Europe the gypsies are proud of there Indian heritage and they are evidentally more Asian looking with different shades of skin tone ranging from white to dark brown. They also speak Roma which is such a mish mash of European languages mixed with old Indian. what happened to Uk Gypsies? im curious?
