the founding fathers clearly stated that the constitution was intended to protect the rights of the minority from the members of the majority, so yes, we should let 2% of the population have equal, and fair protection under the law.

Woah, woah, woah.... Every single culture on the planet for the past 5,000 years has had monogamous marriage? Have you read the Bible? I seem to remember a lot of polygamy going on in the early years. There are many, many different kinds of marriage practices throughout history and the world. To say that everyone has always been heterosexually monogamous only shows pure ignorance and lack of caring.

I pray that the LGBT community will soon be able to marry legally. I'm a Christian, BTW.
