I read on BLI's forum that their GS-4 locomotive may have some difficulties pulling trains in excess of 7 passenger cars up a 2% grade. Is there any way you could explore this concern and if possible post a video demonstrating the locomotives traction/pulling capabilities on such grades?

@kgkangas would love too but engine has to go back to BLI for repairs ,needs re engineering

why is the light on the end of the obs car white...........i wanted to model the morning daylight prototypicaly, did you patch yours or leave it that way?

@lolz976 I did not patch the light yet this was the first time that I had put the obs car on the track ,there are some posts on the BLI forum about dealing with this and I will deal with this some time in the future.

It would be nice to hear the locomotive rather then that "song".  It looks great though!

the engine has a tether problem that shorted out the forward direction controle in the decoder and is actually running in reverse ,I used my video editing software to reverse the video but lost the sound and the engine is due to go back for waranty repairs.If you look closely at the smoke you will see it going back into the smoke stack ,gota love Digital video cameras and computer editing software.

Sounds like Broadway Limited still needs some work on the GS4's??? Has anyone bought the latest GS4's from BL ? I found a distributor who will sell them for $319.75 (tax & shipping included)... but I've seen too many problems with them listed in videos. Does anyone have the latest version? And does it have a Mar's Light on the new ones? They don't list that anymore. It looks like they've retooled their drives per their website.

I bought this locomotive recently i am wondering if anyone knows if the pfa announcement is anything like m.t.h version because it says in the B.L.I Daylight handbook after half a min of running if you hit the pfa button it will do the announcements and so far i got absolutely nothing i need help figuring this out greatly apreciate any help thx maybe im reading the manual wrong and not understanding who knows

@manictraincollector Mine is in paperweight mode as well. I'm debating whether to cancel my entire SP Daylight order with BLI and pursue the MTH model

Does this come with a detail pack? On the other videos I didnt see those blow down things near the rear wheels on both the left and right sides. I dont buy anything unless its at least 97% accurate and if it doesnt come with those I might have to order parts. Thanks in advance.

@lolz976 They changed manufacturers. There were some lawsuits and the manufacturer in Korea had to close. So the operations were moved to China.

acctually, i am pretty sure BLI is made in Korea, thats what is says on my mikado box, which do you prefer china or korea they're BFF anyway
