This works! I remember the beginning, the trigger, and being told to forget, but not much else.

@chem341 Yeah that's great thanks. I'm very interested in the weird things our subconscious can do. What really annoyed me was being accused of faking it by people who have never experienced hypnosis! Maybe I can develop the ability to get amnesia? Sounds a bit counter intuitive training myself to forget something lol
Also, would you know if there's any link between hypnosis and lucid dreams? Just out of interest.
All best.
Didnt work

@LittleRicky63 sorry to hear that - what happened?

Hi chem 341 don't know if you can help me out with some answers. I've been hypnotised on stage by Alan Bates. I was always fully conscious and realised what I was doing but couldn't resist doing what I was told. He eventually had to send me off because I was laughing lots and people thought I was faking it! Anyway, the hypnosis on this video worked completely, except for when I was told to forget the experience and sense of time. Is there a psychological reason for this part not to work?
Thanks.

@Snookbone Amnesia (forgetting what happens and the sens of time) is something that doesn't work for everyone in hypnosis, and there doesn't seem to be much reason for it - it just seems to work for some people and not others. Your experience of hypnosis - being aware of what you are doing but not being able to stop it - is really common. People often laugh, move about, talk and so on in hypnosis. It's totally normal and everyone's experience will be different.
I hope that helps?

@fuzylittlebastard it's something that takes practice... keep trying and you'll manage it :)
Some people find that online sessions with an actual hypnotist (like on skype) work better for them than videos.
