WenSuen's Profile:

Born in Tawau, Malaysia, Wensuen LIM is the new generation of today's dynamic young sopranos. She displayed a talent for music since young and hence began her classical vocal training with singer Zhang Hanwen as her mentor. She participated in numerous national singing competitions with outstanding achievements, and was also awarded the Winner of youth group for the "Sabah State Singing Competition". Throughout her youth days, she had been invited to perform aside local professional singers and accumulated valuable stage experiences. In the year 2011, Wensuen graduated in China Conservatory of Music, Department of Music Education and majoring in vocal music under the tutelage of nationality renowned vocalist (National First Grade Artiste) Professor WANG Sufen. She also studied piano performance under HAN Peijun, piano tutor of the Department of Music Education. During her course of study, she was awarded the Beijing Municipal foreign student scholarship for three years.

Wensuen appeared in numerous events as soloist upon invitation by the Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing, China.
During her period of study in China, she was awarded top prizes in singing competitions such as the "Association of Malaysia Student in Beijing", "China Conservatory of Music Singing Contest", "China Cup of International Student Association Singing Contest", "English Singing Competition" and "China Art Festival - Beijing International Art Exchange Exhibition". In the year 2008, she performed in numerous the concerts such as "Olympic Hymn" and "Celebration" which were organized by the Association of International Student in China Conservatory of Music. In the year 2009, she was awarded the Gold Medalist in the "Beijing International Chinese Cultural Exchange" vocal competition, and in the same year, she performed as a guest soloist for the concert "National Elegance" at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. She was also selected by Professor WANG Sufen to sing as a demonstrator in an educational video "WANG Sufen Vocal Pedagogy". In the year 2010, Wensuen was awarded the first prize in the 3rd "National Arts and Cultural Elite Television (Beijing) - Degree Category Traditional Singing style". Along with her peers at the China conservatory in June 2011, she successfully staged her graduation recital "Endless".

Upon her return from graduation, Wensuen stage a Sabah concert tour "Wensuen Charity Music Concert" and was very well received. During this period, she was also invited in several major occasions to perform in Indonesia.
