This is a video tutorial on how to "Seafoam" a Dodge Stealth or Mitsubishi 3000GT automobile. It covers all of the steps in one simple to understand video.

Why "Seafoam" your 3S car? It removes carbon deposits that have built up in your fuel system and crankcase over the years. These carbon deposits rob you of power, smooth idling and acceleration that your car once possessed. This process cleans out the carbon deposits and restores the smoothness and power to your car.

Note: it does not add power to your car - it simply helps restore your power that you already had.

Also, make sure to change your engine oil around 50-100 miles after adding the Seafoam to your crankcase. Going much longer will not be good for your engine.

Finally, you're on your own with this - if you ruin your engine, I'm not responsible in any way. I'm only offering this tutorial so that you can see how I did this to my car. It's your decision, and yours alone, to mimic this process on your car.

Thanks for watching, and enjoy the power you get back in your 3S car!

  • Do Not forget to change your oil 50-100 miles after seafoaming it will thin your oil out

  • how do you clean the intake plenum? or when you put it in the vacum hose from the brake booster u are cleaning the intake plenum too?? good video thank you

  • do you really need 2 cans, or would 1/3 all the way around be good with 1 can?

  • I would just change the oil 3 times after maybe 500, 1000, then 1500 miles to remove contaminants and revitalize parts. Then run a high quality 10W-30 synthetic and change every 3-4k. All the smoke is just from a flooded engine. Carbon deposits are black, so unless your seeing this coming out of the tailpipe or a black buildup at the edges of your tailpipes, I highly doubt your removing any deposit buildup

Seafoam is a chemical additive that's supposed to help clean out your engine. You can mix with the motor oil shortly before changing it to clean out your crankcase, you can mix it with your gasoline to clean your fuel injectors, or pour it into your air intake to clean out your valves. I've done all that, and personally I don't think it really does anything except produce a lot of smoke.

  • very informative

  • Come On! Give it the beans!

  • @jaystallwood You do NOT want to change the oil immediately. It kind of defeats the purpose of putting it in there to clean it. ;) But, I would NOT go any more than 300 miles from the time you put it in there because it does eventually make the oil all nasty and whatnot. lol

  • What part of South Carolina are you from?

  • i just bought 2 cans for my mitsubishi gto TT. I really need to put some decent oil in too. So shall i do this seafoam application and then change the oil, But when after should i change the oil? Any help would be great. Thanks guys
