I remember this series really well. England played really well throughout. They should clearly have won the game vs SL where they scored 320, but were denied as Jayawardene scored a century, even though the square leg umpire clearly missed an obvious stumping. The long series used to really take its toll on visiting teams, and the same happened here, allowing Australia to win in the end.

Adam Dale was one of Australia's finest ever FC cricketers (as evidenced by his statistics). He was the victim of one great Lara innings and should've been an international regular.

haha an entire side that failed with the bat...except one man called Bevan with 50 not out...he always seemed to bat well in 2nd innings...good bowling by england though
