Andrew Harrod and I make a breakfast run from Fullerton to Big Bear City Airport in a Cessna 182, N2019V. Most of this was shot in IMC conditions. There were so many radio calls I didn't place a music track on this one.

  • Lovely. brilliant video, thanks for posting and keeping ATC chat!

  • Thany alot. There are several others I put on YouTube.

  • Because we didn't have o2.

  • Nice video. Sounds like Dave in the tower. Is that one of AFI's planes? I'm familiar with 515 and it's ugly twin sister 7 echo juliet.

  • Dave? No idea. AFI? Yes.

  • I am NOT a pilot, but have flown with the Air Force in the 70's. What a nice video, THX!! Just one question, if you don't mind, what are NOTAMS?

  • i love your videos. Im only 15 years old and I'm filing my first IFR flight plan this friday. Suprisingly (or maby not) your videos have really helped me lear some stuff through my training.

    Keep making these videos

  • @fholbert

frank have you ever had an engine die out on ya? what do you do in that situation just glide around until you find a strip?

  • great video! nice ATC chatter! Your pilot buddy did a great job except he should have known that theres no way they would have cleared him to 1600 ft if he needed to cross SLI at 2600 according to the VOR-A. But other than that..great job!

  • climbed like a banshee

  • Look at my web page on the "Videos" page. YouTube blocks links here.

  • I understand that at Fullerton the VOR-A is usually in use, but if you were coming from Big Bear why not elect for the loc-24 approach?
