Lance and Vito help with the laundry!

This is a video response to Rogersmmr who challenged us all to teach our dogs to 1)open a drawer 2)put socks inside 3)close the drawer.
Since I couldn't find any drawers in the house that allowed me to attach something to, this eliminated #1 for me. So to keep it a behavioral chain I decided to have the dogs grab from a laundry basket (which ended up being tipped due to lance's stubby legs!) and hop onto a stool to put the socks in the drawer.
As you can see, they still need some help to finish the task! Thanks for the challenge! Lance is a 2yr old corgi and Vito is a 8 month old toller.

Hey, I know you! This is Tania from TCOTC level 3 with the two border collies. Cute vid! Lok is working on fetching a beer from the fridge. He's got all 3 parts, but we still need to put them together and work on him not getting so amped up while doing it.

great dogs but it helps to wean them off of treats so they dont get fat ecpecially the corgi [ :

thank you for the advice, but I know very well how to wean (actually go to a variable reinforcement ratio using a variety of rewards with food just being one) my dogs off of treats. This video shows my dogs in the very early stages of training this behavior. Plus my corgi isn't fat, although he thinks he is being starved :)

Thanks for showing your bloopers. The most amazing part for me was Vito doing a down stay while Lance worked on his moves. I still can't work with both of my dogs at once.

Thanks, but Vito actually isn't in a down stay :) Both dogs have just learned that I never ever reward them if I'm working with another dog, and if they want to stay and watch they need to be out of the way or they're kicked out of the room!
I think Lance just learned that naturally within a few "ah ahs", and with Vito it helped that he's had that rule since 8wks of age. It's much harder with two older dogs!
