Haha, I haven't ridden this guy in about two years since he's been lame on and off (Founder). He's been sound for a couple months now so I wasl ike 'Whoot! Let's go.'

never pull when your horse rears your horse can fall back on you and crush you

@iButterscotch If you don't pull their head to one side or the other then they can just as easily go over on you. Doing nothing is just as bad. If you get a horse's head to your knee they can't really do much of anything =] Control the head, control the beast.

If I were your mum I'd be a bit worried about your pony's liking for rearing. Afraid you lost the battle when she initially stopped. From that moment she was in charge. Noticed how she didn't respond to your kicks after she stopped - not good. Have few lessons so you can be quicker/more responsive so the rearing doesn't get worse. Otherwise she may come down on top of you.
