@jamesjimmyjimj I would need to get paid for this to be professional. I used to get paid for doing solar research but once you hang up the slide rule you aint a professional anymore.

@Cherriecupcakes Yes, I think I made that point. However it is passing closer to us than the Moon's orbit but wont actuall pass between us and the moon as the moon is in the wrong part of its orbit for that.

@drkstrong Well this wouldn't be world ending, just world changing. Many people would die though and the nuclear reactors going china syndrome would be a major concern. But then, some people who live in tribes, with no tech, wouldn't even notice (unless they saw lots of "civilised" folk running around like headless chickens, that might give them a clue that something had happened lol).

@MaxSnellink If anything is confusing, just ask. Scientists use jargon without realizing that it means absolutely to most people who are not immersed in the field of study everyday of their lives. I am guilty of this as much as anybody so dont hestitate it to call me out on it.
