  • Yes, having clients wash their hair first is really the way to go, just like having them iron their clothes! We keep an iron on hand at the Studio. Even though Photoshop is great for fixing stuff, it's always best to take care of most of these things before the capture!

  • I'm going to try this technique on "oily" hair, although I'm not sure we can do a photoshop "wash and rinse"... or can we???

  • This is for coloring. If you're talking about diry hair, well that can either look dull or really greasy. If it's dull then you want to boost contrast with Unsharp Mask filter. If it's greasy you may want to dull it by lowering contrast use the Brightness/Contrast Adjustment

  • hi

but ui have a problem how to save it they say sth about maximize close it but haw to save it ?

  • Layered files will pop up that box, just check the "don't show this again" box. You want it maximized YES for compatibility.

  • hmm.. you speak very clearly, i'll give you that. you're a good teacher. but when it comes to your skills and techniques, at least in this tutorial - well, not so good.. the final result looks very harsh and not natural at all. plus, you made it a lot harder than it really is. to get a better and faster result, you could have just used the dodge tool. easy, and better ;) but you explained it well! :)

  • I'd have to totally disagree, here. If I were just embellishing highlights the dodge tool would work, but it's hideous and the wrong tool to use for correcting the dark roots, as it either desaturates to a foggy gray while lightening or adds an unnatural magenta cast. You have to watch the vid all the way to the end. During the process it may look weird but comparing b4/aft at the end of vid shows great results, plus you have the advantage to lower opacity of the layer for better blend.
