a led light strip under the tail gate and have it light up like a 67 cougars for the blinkers...left center to left...right center to right and keep the brake lights on the sides of the tailgate

Looking good. Let me know if you need any help.

@MrBostonbrian Her name is Shelby and she is out here every second that its safe for her to be. By that i mean not when im welding plasma cutting or painting.

@MrBostonbrian LOL ya i know what you mean.... Buy the way still waiting on a project update from you!!!

i like the idea about the lights in the rear. i would do it if i could find a way to put something flush mounted in its place. anything to update a truck like that with some modern little feature would be really neat. i think that would still be keeping it kind of hot rod rather than...... well rather than a chevy truck with caddy taillights if ya know what i mean.

i dont know what i like more......... the excellent metal work or the yellow lab sleeping in the shop.
I like the project truck. Glad I finally got around to tuning in. I'll be following the vids.

loving the build. Did you have much trouble installing the front end? did you have to modify very much or did it fit very well from the manufacturer?
i think adding the lights into the rear of the frame will look sweet. as you said the tailgate will line up almost vertically. i think it will be a nice clean look on that pickup.

@tomswonderfulworld Tom , the installation of the front crossmember actually was very simple to do. It was the prep work to get to the point i could put it on that was time consuming I.E. boxing the frame , making braces to hold the frame rails in place while the stock crossmember was removed, and the porta power and pullback rams used to remove the "snake" in the right side frame rail. But as far as the actual install it was simple ; just remember to measure twice and weld once. Terry
