Stevie Ray playing at Alpine Valley, 26th August 1990. This would be Stevie's final show, his last stand and if there was ever a way to go out in style Stevie sure did that, at this memorable concert. Quality is good although the show on the 25th at Alpine Valley is better. Stevie was in an 'extra happy' mood at this show, and you can really hear it in his playing, and he was to die only a few hours after this show. Well folks sit back, relax and enjoy Stevie Ray's 'Final Show' and his last performance of Tightrope.
TO BAD HE FELT LIKE HE HAD TO LEAVE THAT VERY MOMENT, SUCH A LOST THAT WILL NEVER BE FILLED BY ANYONE.

I think he was happy finally reaching his pinnacle. That's the way to go knowing inside that you did good.

Thank you for sharing this concert. I have been looking fir it for a long time. He's definitely got something to say here. I saw him at Balboa Park in San Diego 88 maybe, Just before the release of In Step. First half was all the standards... then he whupped us with the new stuff...yeah, like that man. The conviction of his playing was almost like a tongue lashing for me and my lifestyle at the time. broke me off fo' sho'.
Thank you Stevie...
