The MAF run TBI 350. The speed density tables are purposely 0 in the chip to prove a point that it will die when it sees the MAF unplugged.

  • what was that big air thing for if u dont mind me asking because i have a 305 TBI but im changin it to carb?

  • @alpofootage323 Mine is running on custom ecm code and a GM 85mm MAF sensor.

  • The point is this TBI setup WAS a MAP based speed density system. It is now a MAF setup.

  • @Fast355 tbi doesnt exsist anymore and tpi had regular injectors not just on the throtle body and used a mas air flow sensor no point even modern vehicals use just map most imports use both map as a backup

  • @jayguy173

The only import I am really familiar with is Nissan and they rely solely on MAF. However MAP with a wet manifold is not at all accurate. The MAF is MUCH, MUCH more accurate with TBI than MAP.

  • I have a new MSD distributor, MSD Blaster coil, Accel 8mm superstock plug wires(4049), autolite 26 sparkplugs, super sucker 1" TB Spacer, bottom intake ports gasket matched, top intake ports (TB side) stock bore, stock TB (480-500cfm I'm guessing) stock valves, stock valve springs, (everything refurbished to new condition). Was possibly going to get new valve springs, port Intake (TB side) put a 7.4L BBC TB on it (640-670cfm) with my spacer and everything else. Have been reccommended to you

  • They flow like amazing, and bought Shorty headers and even more flow and HP gains. It has the stock throttle body, and stock fuel flow. So I know that its being limited to an extent, but I am wondering how much its being limited. .040 over block, forged 9.5:1 comp pistons (after head work I'm not sure what actual comp is), 69 Canaries Z28 cam with new lifters. Stock computer no chip, 0 (zero) degrees advanced timing, stock crank turned .010. Full serpentine also (if that matters)

  • My dad (been building motors for 30 years with the late Paul Vanderly) ported and polished these heads to around 204-207cc. I think that they are good, but have heard that they are the most crap heads ever built even with work.

  • Seeing this, I'm torn. I have a 95 sierra with a HIGHLY modded motor (see channel) and it has I'm guessing 193 heads. It was the stock worn out 5.7L 350 2 bolt main that comes factory in my truck. Spent about $900 on the motor having it bored and such, also having the heads surfaced.

  • what kind of heads and cam did you swap in?

  • @jayguy173 the popular chrysler 4.7 used in dodge trucks uses map
