@SongOfWhiteWolf I LIVE ON THE OREGON COAST. CALIFORNIA ENJOYS A LITTLE BETTER SEA CONDITIONS THAN HERE. SO YOU WOULD PROBABLY BE ALL RIGHT. JUST KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE HORIZON. HERE THE WEATHER CAN CHANGE IN HALF AN HOUR. GOOD LUCK FISHING .ALBACORE FISHING IS THE BEST. I LOVE IT. KEEP ME POSTED.
I've been talking to allot of people. It seems the biggest thing is making sure you have enough fuel with back up for weather changes. Keeping good updated weather information is an absolute must. It's just something I want to look into. I saw some of that stuff about people going out in small boats.. I'm not that crazy. LOL
@SongOfWhiteWolf I WOULDN'T BE OUT IN THE OCEAN ON LESS THAN A FIFTYFOOT BOAT. 23FT ISN'T ENOUGH BOAT OUT THERE IF IT GETS ROUGH. I KNOW PEOPLE THAT GO OUT THAT FAR WITH 20 FOOTERS. MOST GET BACK. I ALSO KNOW SOME THAT WOULD OF MADE IT BACK IN A FIFTY THOUGH.
I'm thinking about trying to go tuna fishing next year with my boat. What size is the boat you went on here, and how far out did you have to go? I have a 23" fiberform that I'm sure can make the trip. From what I read, the tuna run from 50 to 125 miles out.
NIce vid~ Who gaffed that, Tracker? hehe... just kiddin! Its always great to see footage of some tuna fishin!! Hope to get more this year too! Thanks for sharing
