Not really. Wind speeds in Denmark are not that extreme. Quite frankly, we live in a little "heaven"; no earthquakes, no major flooding, no forest fires, no drought, no extreme temperatures, no rain season, no tornados and no hurricanes. But the wind turbine is made for "picking up" the slightest wind for efficiency, so even though the wind wasn't THAT extreme, it was extreme for the wind turbine.

... (it was extreme for the turbine only because the breaks failed. normally the rotors will be stopped and turned in an angle so that they aren't effected by the wind)

Honestly, if you haven't even seen a coal mining accident you'd probably not see an accident like in Chernobyl every day either... You could compare it like with a car accident and 9/11. The Chernobyl disaster just won't happen again.

Which I really like. Although it gets a little awkward when I have to pay for dinner at a restaurant and I've forgot my wallet :S
