First, it is important to understand that SHARK has a great deal of respect for good law enforcement personnel. Society could not get along without these dedicated men and women.

Because of the importance of GOOD law enforcement, we find those who abuse their authority to be have an extremely corrosive effect on society.

What happens when the Chief of Police of Altamont and the Sheriff of Effingham County in Illinois sponsor the Illinois High School Rodeo Association? These supposed law enforcement professionals obstruct and harass Approved Illinois Humane Investigators who are simply trying to document a rodeo and a rodeo producer with a history of abuse.

  • Just a FYI: I am not a redneck or a rodeo person, I am not ignorant, I am almost finished with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice and then I am going off to Grad School in the same field. Just in case you people want to attack my intelligence and/or character.

  • @acousticnoise08 And you felt the need to blurt that out in defense why? Because you thought we would have no logical response to you, but when we did you couldn't handle it?

  • First I want to say that I was there and I did see you and I am not a big fan of you or the way you go about things with your "moral superiority." I also was once a Police Explorer and can say that these kids were not at fault here and have no real legal power. That being said, I do agree with your cause (not the way you go about it however) and people will never fully respect animals until we respect each other. That includes you too (think about it).

  • @acousticnoise08 We respect people. Until they prove they don't deserve it, as in the people in this video who blocked, antagonized or tried to bully us while we were simply attempting to video animal abuse. Says a lot about them. Such as their belief there was something to keep hidden from our cameras. Think about it.

  • "Explorers" are not sworn law enforcement officers, and have no power or authority to tell anyone to do anything, or restrict liberty in any way- even if instructed by a police officer. In fact, he should not be wearing even an embroidered badge that says "Police" on it. At best, it can be considered impersonation (especially while trying to force someone to do something), at worst, it can be a threat to his safety. And parents- there is no expectation of privacy here-your kid can be filmed.

  • @dmedicFF Thanks for posting.

  • I don't know how you can deal with meat-necked barbarians like these and still keep your sanity, good work.

  • dat ass

  • The people involved were all cowardly besides the camera operator here. If there is a legislation and the rodeo is in violation of this legislation and the investigator was in his right to investigate, then, those people were obstructing this investigation. Why not get closer and video it directly? Maybe because it is not a government sponsored inspection. A food inspector doesn't video from a distance ... he goes into the kitchen. I suggest another person to help in these investigations.

  • @SHARKonlineorg THESE PEOPLE ARE ALL CRAZY... people who enjoy this are nuts good job, im not an animal activist nor really a lover but this is just....wrong.
