After viewing another youtube video, I realized that I had the same canister from IKEA and wanted to try it out with a branch that broke off a tree on the property after a rain storm. I used my Leatherman Juice c4 to cut up the pieces of wood and made a fire.

  • Have you seen the videos from jw934 on YouTube? He's got small stoves that are so efficient he can bake a cake on top of them. Also look at WorldStove for biochar-producing stoves.

  • @FingalSix i haven't but I will check out the channels. thanks for the suggestions!

  • very good idea, but having lots of experience with these.. its not very effecient as it lets out wayyy too much heat. Your best bet is to close off the middle 2 or 3 rows of holes.

  • @martialartist34 not a bad suggestion. I haven't done any mods to this. However I did see a similar piece with the middle with no hole, I should have got it and did a compare, doh!

  • Man I was at IKEA so bored, and then I saw one of these and remembered the video from a year or so ago. Needless to say I picked it up.

  • @toliveforthenow excellent! how much was it? I wonder if the prices went up since when I got mine.

  • sweet little fire,i prefer big fucking fires,

  • could i have dimensions please...thank you

  • This offends me, We hobos are a proud people

  • jw934 is constantly refining inventions in his kitchen and explains things really well. Then WorldStove is a very ambitious and visionary project.

  • it's great to see people being innovative and using whats around them to get the job done.

I like to see people using twig stoves, they are sustainable and just make sence, The fuel is all around you.

  • @thecyr.. Thanks for the response. With the middle few holes covered, it allows plenty of airflow, but requires less wood to do the same job :)
