At this time there is no way of attaching the reins to the saddle. though, Holm is working on something just to give little bit more controle at the end of a run. you do need a special bow one that is short and accurate and about 35 to 40 pounds.
Wow this looks amazing, I'd love to be able to do this :D Just curious, what is used to attach the reins the front of the saddle? Also, do you need a special type of bow and/or arrows? or will a regular archery bow suffice?
Yup I am from Bend :) The best way to begin is to find a weekend clinic, or take some lessons from an experienced mounted archer. If you are in the Bend area, we are having a clinic near Sisters in July.
