What he says is pretty spot on.

A non believer will only be convinced that perhaps God is at work if someone amazingly starts to speak a known language that they have never learned. This would be solid evidence as a sign or miracle.

However, jumping around and making silly noises is hardly a sign and can be imitated by anybody. So easily forged is the tongues today. A believer in an almighty God would expect he is so much more capable of revelation than this lunacy.

I love this series.... But a good thing was taken and almost ruined. With the repetitive clips... Looping over and over.. theSAME ending EVERYTIME...

Really gets in the way.. If you wonder why the first clip has so many views , and then the viewcount drops off soo quickly,.. its because of what i described. It quickly becomes unbearable and unwatchable

I've gone into "tongues" twice and have no idea what I said, nor did anyone else. I wasn't convulsing or wacked out, but it is a true phenominon. How does one explain what goes on with the people who genuinly go into this utterance? I am open. From a historical view, (and current) people who aren't even Christians practice this. That's what worries me, because I am a believer of Jesus Christ.

I like Macauthur for the most part, i have a problem with the fact that "tongues" is made out to be the same charismaniac nonsense of having compulsive seizures in the background, because that would be like taking fundamentalism and showing Westboro Baptist, as though all fundamentalists were that extreme.

really really really BAD view of charismatics. The people having fits in this video are not charismatic, but charismaniac. You would not attack John Pipers church, or Mark Driscolls church. Dont pick the most wierd nutjob videos of the most wierd nutjob people and make it out like everyone who speaks in tongues is like that.
