While working and traveling in SE Asia I made it a goal to visit and volunteer at orphanages and children's organizations. I had no idea how much this would impact my life and change how I see the world. The children and those that have dedicated their lives to care for them are the most amazing human beings I have ever met. This is dedicated to them. Thank you for changing my life.

My adventure and life changing experience started with www.languagecorps.com. My experience may not have been possible without their TESOL program. Thank you!

  • I'm not sure about Thailand but know in Vietnam in order to get a work permit I had to have my degree in addition to my TESOL. My degree also had to be translated. There may be ways around it but I'm not sure. I'd recommend emailing language corps because there may be countries they have programs for that do not require a Bachelor's.

  • Yeam im sure there is, but as long as i get to somehow finish the program in that country then transfer over to thailand that would be great, cause i just really want to teach there, but thanks for your help it means a lot! ill be sure to keep in touch and let you know what pans out, thanks again!

  • No problem. Wish I could have been better help. Good Luck!

  • Wow, this is just amazing! I envy you so much! I want to do this so bad! I was looking into the languagecorps programs and I really want to try the one in Thailand, perhaps Vietnam, any feedback would be very helpful! As in if I need a bachelors, because the site is quite vague in supporting which programs needs a bachelors and which dont, like i said any feedback would be great! Thanks.

  • You need a Bachelor's if you want to work in either Thailand or Vietnam. If you want to go on your own and volunteer your don't need a degree. Language Corps required me to have a Bachelor's to apply for their program. Thailand and Vietnam are both great. It just depends on your lifestyle and what you are looking for.

  • Well that just ruins my whole plan of going to Thailand in may! There has to be some sort of loop hole where you can take a program in a different country that doesnt require a bachelors then switch over to another destination when you are done and try to get a job there perhaps?
