I still picture Obama's states in red and McCain's in blue. Labor parties are red, business parties in blue. That is an international norm.

Americans have their season of discontent with any new president. Unfortunately, for the Republicans, Obama season happened during his first year. The same thing for congress, dems have the winter, spring and summer to recover b/4 the 2010 elections.

It is going to take a long time to fix the economy. Economic experts believe that unemployment will begin to dip to 8 or 9 percent by the summer. However, it won't be a full recovery. Now, if Obama decides to cut the capital gains tax for small businesses, you will see unemployment probably go back to pre-recession numbers of less that 7%. If that were to be the case that 49% approval rate will be at 65% by 2011. He will still lose a lot of seat in Congress in 2010 it is nature of the beast.

I'm not woried about the House;even though I know seats will be lost. The Senate is the one I'm counting on. If we
can pick up at the very least 3 seats, that
would be considered a "big win" for the
Democrats. He is going to cut it to 20% in 2011, not enough for any real change, but it's a start.

Suprkit: Everything will be fine the economy will be great shape in 2010 and unemployment will be less than 6%. President Obama is working extremely hard to turn around our economy........ We see that the economy is better than a year ago; however, the democrat will keep their majorty in congress... Mark my word they might 2 Senate seats Florida & Ohio. God bless our beloved Nation United States of America.

10% of the people who are not employed are the ones who are in bad shape. People with no healthcare insurance are in bad shape. People who have loved ones fighting in both wars are in bad shape. For the rest of Americans we are not in bad shape. I wish people would stop blaming one person who is in the White House who has a job no one wants. This isn't Bush's or Obama's fault of the economic woes. It is an international problem. Americans are so fickled to want to change a president in 11 months

Even if that it is true, Obama still would have won Ohio. He gained with independents and white voters.
