Silent, as with anything else in Entropia Universe it depends. Usually yes though.
If the beacon was looted and you and your team loot all boxes, most assuredly you will come well out ahead.
Purchased beacons... well, that depends on how much you bought it for (markup can be excessive) and again, the ability of the team to plunder quickly after the self-destruct is activated.
This being said, the NEW beacon system may operate entirely differently. Watch the forums.
