@lmswentzeljr Yes, I'm sure indeed. This intro was used from 1990-1993. 1990 was the first year they used this intro and that season was also the first of the Cubs wearing the button uniforms with the belt. The season before (1989=Boys of Zimmer) was the last year of the pull over jerseys.
They don't have 76 stations in Chicago anymore, but still have them in Los Angeles.

I like how most of the sponsorship logos' colors that stand out are red and blue, which match well w/ the WGN and Cubs logos @ the bottom.

@Spr463 are u sure because in the promo they are wearing the uniforms they wore in the 80's.

Thank you for posting this. But growing-up in Chicago, I can honestly tell you that this theme was not from 1989. The theme is circa Early 1990s.
In 1989, WGN-TV still used the artist opening as you posted from 1988.
