Uh, when you don't know each other you play the songs you all know. What else would you play? This was not meant as the next single...

Sounds like Thumping beat, song by Jimmy Page.

BTW, Henry McCullouch certainly delivers here!!

God, how I love this, it's raw, tough rock'n'roll performed in 1972 [sic!] and it's Paul and Wings in their prime, really wish I had this on DVD. I think this clip is put together from two different sources, the second is from a Melwyn Bragg presentation documentary from 1977 or '78, just after the Mull Of Kintyre success. I remember taping the soundtrack off the telly, this was before video was available in Everyman's home, and I still remember the kick from this perfomance. Kicks ass, this!

AndrewJBoyer, have to share this with you, Lucille was written by little Richard about one of his girlfriends!

GREAT STUFF! Vintage Wings!

this was indeed the first rehearsal by the group. before henry joined, the other 4 members recorded the album wildlife. but did not do any concerts

pity the beatles broke up imagine them singing this in 1972 priceless but at least we have this

ah lucille! a rock n roll classic! every rocker did it from lil richard to elvis to chuck berry, to james brown, to jerry lee lewis. its name was gotten from b.b.kings guitar "lucille", one day when bb lost it and couldnt find he, wrote that first line, and then the rest was written about a girl.

I also was looking for this for years! Paul is free and very touching! Great Paul! Great Paul!

@young5ever no, its Denny Laine (formerly of The Moody Blues)
thanks for the posting. this is the earliest wings clip i've seen on youtube. but it wouldn't have been rehearsals for CHOBA B CCCP, because those would have been in the 80s.

It's just a joke and not a misprint :) I'm living in Russia and at these early 70's times we couldn't dream to see Paul alive or even on TV. By these words I just want to tell all the world how we loved him on in spite of the Iron Curtain and finally he has brought that number to russians from '70 onto CHOBA... LP in 1987 :)
