Update on Janet's Bone Marrow Drive: UC Davis!

Thanks to Asian American Donor Program (AADP), we are able to set up a Bone Marrow Drive for Janet!
If you are in Northern California. Here are the following location:
Feb 1st and Feb 2nd (Wed and Thurs)
UC Davis
2 locations: Quad and Silo
10am to 2pm
Feb 5, 2012 (Sun)
Davis Chinese Christian Church, Davis
536 Anderson Road, Davis CA 95616
1pm-4pm
We need to promote this event the most quickest and efficient way as possible. Message me if you want to help pass out flyers and spread the word around. We have a week to get as many people to register as donors.

If you live in a different state how can you help? I am 22 years old,I'm Mexican/American and I live in Chicago. I am interested in helping because when I was 10 years old my sister passed away from Leukemia. I couldn't do anything for her because I was just a kid. Now that I'm 22 I would love to help Janet any way I can.

how it works? do they draw out a blood or needling to your bone and take out the mallow?
please let me know

@kisupchung25 Hi kisupchung25! Great question, first what they do is they use a cotton swab to your cheeks. If you have similar tissue cells as the recipient, then they will either draw your blood or draw it from your hip bone. Of course the hip bone is painless since you are under anesthesia. After that, you'll be up and running the following day.
