  • it's so fuzzy i couldn't tell if it was DX8 or DX11

  • you are mixing up technical quality

such as polycounts, animation blending shading lighting etc. with the fact that the art for this particular demo is pretty bad.

the animator that made this animation just sucks. no matter what technology you have. it can;t fix a bad animators errors

  • @Kamshak1337 true enough. anyways, tesselation, for instance, was originally supported by ATI back in the radeon 8500, a directx 8 card. It went by the name "truform".

  • @GraveUypo the new dx sure is better than dx8, no doubt, but they always make it look as if it was all the dx version. You cannot create a game with graphics like this in dx8, in dx9 for sure, but for such a demo even 8 should be enough.

  • @Kamshak1337 maybe you could get something to look close enough, but im almost certain "the same" is stretching it a little bit (can't be sure because of the bluriness)

on dx9c (sm3) on the other hand im almost sure you could make it look exactly the same.

  • @GraveUypo these shaders don't look too complicated, sure there are limits, but this is possible with dx8

  • @Kamshak1337 it isnt. directx8 can't render more than 56 or so shaders per scene, has a limited number of pixel and vertex shader capabilities and so on.

you can do the geometry on dx8, but not the rest.

  • @cdoublejj you couldnt tell anyways, this is possible with dx8 as well, it just doesnt perform as well

  • so searching for a guy that would treat me well

  • price for new models, but older ones oc'ed beat the crap out of amd's there are lots of things i need that have better support for intel cipsets and nvidia cards

be it ati or nvidia most pple don't buy the latest things, and usually,it's just better to buy nvidia

  • Lol, this video shows nothing of the new DirectX version. Any detail that could be added by tessellation is blurred to hell. In this case, animation / art / shading quality is the result of decent graphics programming, not a better graphics API.

  • im not that good, i can see the shading and that about it.
