  • okay, are saying his father is half korean so that makes him korean? i know that in japan being born in japan doesn't make you japanese like it does in america. but he is considered japanese decent by the government of japan. is that not enough in your eyes? he doesn't have citizenship in korea.

  • Matsui is Japanese descent! He's not Korean. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with being Korean, he's just not.

I met Matsui recently and he's even better looking in person than on T.V.

  • is kaz matsui related to hideki

  • didint work out too well, did it ?

  • matsui kazuo is 100% japanese

all japanese are mixed with ainu and other asian ethnics

as far as i know, matsui has japanese nationality,he should be considered japanese

  • read the story about the death of his father. Japanese newspaper outed him as a Zainichi Korean about a year ago when his father died in a fire. They printed his father's Korean family name of Park and linked Matsui. Japanese entertainment and sports are full of ethnic Koreans. Read the LA times article that did research on the Zainichi Korean celebrities and athletes.

  • korean has small eyes. but he has big eyes. hes 100% japanese lol

  • lol just like U.S has barry bonds, hank aaron, etc. they are black for fucks sake so they are not a native american. Although the U.S do produce some fine players.

  • Kazuo Matsui is Zainichi (ethnic Korean living in Japan). Many of the best baseball players in Japan are Zainichi Koreans. You only have to look at the Japanese baseball record books to recognize this.

  • He is Japanese though there is a possibility of the atavism, too.
